Smartdiesel Fuel Card

Once we receive your enquiry or application, we will pass this information on to our local fuel card providers who will contact you by telephone or by e-mail. An experienced consultant will check the details provided and any other factors relating to your business and vehicle management needs.

Our fuel card-provider partners will check the details you have given and confirm information such as your vehicle types, number of vehicles, driving routes and brand preference if any.

Once your requirements have been verified and the correct card or card combination offered and accepted, then an application can be completed over the telephone, or if you prefer e-mailed to you and filled in at your leisure.

Certain financial information will be required at this stage, which goes to an In-House credit department for vetting. This process is facilitated as quickly as possible – usually within 48 hours, sometimes sooner depending on the information at hand.

You will be informed as soon as your application is approved and your printed cards are usually with you between 10 and 14 working days.

At this stage you can expect a welcome call from a local provider onboarding customer services department to run through the finer details of using your new card and how to set up online mobile and desktop software should you choose to do so.

The Smartdiesel fuel card introduces a new way for transport companies to manage how much they spend on fuel. Like many fuel cards the Smartdiesel fuel price is based on a weekly wholesale rate; the difference is that Smartdiesel customers can choose their rate based on how much fuel they wish to use. This means you will always know how much your weekly fuel bill will be, allowing you to budget easily.

The Smartdiesel fuel card uses the UK Fuels network of independent fuel stations. The UK Fuels network features over 3033 fuel stations, 149 of these offer HGV access with many also offering 24-hour operation. 139 fuel stations are part of the Smartdiesel Smart Saver network offering additional discounts on your fuel price.
